Tottenham fans have message for Daniel Levy amid transfer theory after Carlos Vinicius deal

The long wait is over and Tottenham Hotspur fans have a new striker after Carlos Vinicius' loan deal was announced.

The 25-year-old has joined on loan from Benfica, having been joint-top scorer in Portugal's Primeira Liga last season.

It has proved to be a hit with Spurs fans as they ended a long search for a striker that can provide support for Harry Kane.

With Spurs also looking for a defender, the Friday night announcement of Vinicius has got some fans talking to suggest there is more business to be done before the transfer deadline on Monday.

Spurs have shown interest in Milan Skriniar at Inter Milan but they are yet to agree a deal with the San Siro club.

Inter are looking for around £45m for the centre-back but Spurs have only offered in the region of £30m so far.

It could mean that Spurs consider other options for a defensive signing.

Antonio Rudiger at Chelsea has been linked with a loan move to Spurs, while Juventus defender Merih Demiral has also been linked.

For now, though, Spurs fans are delighted with the signing of Vinicius.

The deal reportedly also contains the option to turn the move permanent should he succeed at Spurs.

The striker has previously played in his native Brazil for Caldense and Gremio before moving on loan to Portuguese side Real SC.

Stints at Napoli, Rio Ave and Monaco followed before moving to Benfica last year.

However, he will not feature against Manchester United tomorrow, with it understood that Vinicius is awaiting a work permit to play in the Premier League, which is expected to be a formality.
