Tottenham fans delighted after what Harry Kane and Tanguy Ndombele did against Wolves

Tottenham fans have expressed their delight at seeing Harry Kane and Tanguy Ndombele get on the scoreesheet against Wolves.

Nuno Espirito Santo's side raced into an early 2-0 lead before Leander Dendoncker pegged one back before half-time.

At a time where Spurs have been struggling to score goals, Ndombele created something out of nothing when he chased down the Wolves defence in search of the north London side's opener.

After forcing a mistake, the Frenchman coolly cut back onto his right foot before sliding his effort underneath goalkeeper John Ruddy.

Meanwhile, Kane, who has incidentally been battling with bad form himself, stepped up to add his third goal in all competitions this season just nine minutes later.

A well-timed pass from Dele Alli sent him one-on-one with Ruddy, and Spurs' talisman remained as calm as ever as he rolled his effort into the bottom corner.

Their efforts gave Tottenham an early advantage going into the half-time break, but Daniel Podence added an equaliser in the 58th minute. Espirito Santo's side will be hoping they can still reach the fourth round of the tournament, however.

And luckily, their supporters are equally as proud of Ndombele and Kane.

Take a look at what's been said on Twitter.

The draw for the next round will be held shortly after tonight's game. You can follow all you need to know via football.london's live coverage.

As things stand, if Tottenham do get through, they could be joined by north London rivals Arsenal who are winning 1-0 against AFC Wimbledon.

Meanwhile, Chelsea lead Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge whilst West Ham are looking to hold onto a lead at Old Trafford.
