Tottenham fans can't believe what Christian Eriksen has done for Inter Milan

Christian Eriksen did many impressive things in his seven seasons at Tottenham but never what he did for Inter Milan on Saturday.

Corners were often fruitless affairs with the Dane in control as Eriksen struggled to clear the first man.

The former Ajax maestro joined the Serie A side in January for around £17 million as his Spurs contract began to wind down and Lilywhites supporters will be stunned to learn that his last corner kick not only evaded the first man but everyone else to.

With the scores level against Napoli at the San Paulo Stadium the 28-year-old knocked the ball in from a corner. A dipping cross stayed close to the call before bouncing under the body of former Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina much to Eriksen's delight.

Here are how Spurs fans have reacted:

“It seemed the right move for me, as they were very eager to sign me, and that’s important for a player to know he is wanted," he told Danish publication Jyllands Posten (via Football Italia). "It meant they would’ve done anything to bring me in.

“Some Tottenham fans got angry when I said in a BBC interview that I had a better chance of winning something at Inter, but that is the truth, there are many stronger teams in England."

However, the Nerazzurri are now out of the Coppa Italia as Napoli move on to face Juventus, after Dries Mertens levelled the scores on the night to earn a 2-1 win on aggregate.

The former Tottenham star had noted he had a greater chance of winning a trophy with Inter.
