Tottenham fan Tracey Crouch trolls Arsenal in House of Commons after Speaker's jibe

Arsenal fans were left bitterly disappointed after seeing their side lose the Europa League final in Baku last week, although some of that sadness would have been replaced with joy at seeing arch-rivals Tottenham taste defeat in the Champions League final in Madrid three days later.

The pain of losing a European final to Liverpool will still be fresh in the minds of Spurs supporters, but they can - at least - take solace from the fact they will be playing Champions League football next season, unlike Arsenal.

And that is something Chatham and Aylesford MP Tracey Crouch - an avid Spurs fan - was quick to remind Speaker of the House of Commons - and Arsenal fan - John Bercow in the Houses of Parliament on Tuesday.

Bercow introduced the former Sports and Civil society minister with the words "Sporting her Spurs lanyard, Tracey Crouch" to which she replied: "It's very good of you to notice, Mr Speaker.

"I look forward to watching Tottenham next season on a Wednesday night whereas you, Sir, will have to watch Arsenal on a Thursday night as the chant goes 'because you're not very good'.
