Pre-season has a slightly different feel to it this season, with a number of players off on international duty before the start of the season.
A number of Tottenham players are in that list including striker Harry Kane, Eric Dier (England ), and Matt Doherty (Republic of Ireland) among others.
It means that Tottenham will be without their internationals for their remaining pre-season friendly against Championship side Watford at the weekend.
Ryan Sessegnon is also among the players who won’t be playing in that game due to representing his country on the international stage.
The 20-year-old has been called up to the England U21 side who face Kosovo and Austria in U21 EURO qualifying this week.
Ahead of them games, players have been putting the miles in on the training pitch in order to make sure that they are named in the starting eleven by head coach Aidy Boothroyd.
But in a picture put up by Sessegnon himself on Instagram, Tottenham fans noticed that the Spurs man was taking part in training with the senior England squad.
In the picture, Three-Lions captain and Tottenham star Harry Kane can be seen along with Arsenal’s Ainsley Maitland-Niles, who received his first England call-up this week.
Sessegnon is yet to receive a senior England call-up but will be hoping that he can impress manager Gareth Southgate in training to increase his chances in the next international break.
The Young Lions are in action against Kosovo on Friday before travelling to Austria the following Tuesday.
