Tottenham fan fumes at what Joe Gomez did in Liverpool's win over Watford

Liverpool have rode their luck on several occasions on their way to leading the Premier League. That has been the notion perpetuated by some opposition fans rightly or wrongly this term.

But when it comes to the Reds' 2-0 win over Watford on Saturday afternoon, it seems like a certain Tottenham supporter has a valid complaint.

Mohamed Salah bagged a brace at Anfield to briefly move Liverpool eleven points clear at the top of the table.

Salah's first came on the counter attack as he took a through ball by Sadio Mane and cut inside before providing a lovely right-footed shot into the top corner.

The Egyptian would go onto to grab another late on to finish off the contest but it was the build-up to his first which caused anger among this fan, who took to Twitter.

The screengrab above from the game showed that the ball looked to have hit Liverpool centre-back Joe Gomez on the arm whilst the Reds were defending before they broke up field for the goal.

Considering that Liverpool were said to have gained the rub of the green by many in the Champions League final against Spurs in June when Mane's shot led to a penalty decision for an adjudged handball by Moussa Sissoko, it's safe to say this fan was up in arms again.

@xDuoMax tweeted: "So the ball hits Joe Gomez's hand, 15 seconds later Liverpool score. Give them the league already. I'm sick of it. How many times."

The tweet has been linked almost 2,000 times and he added: "Champions league final, Sissoko arm pit. Call me bitter but it’s just boring now."
