Tottenham eyeing player Antonio Conte 'loves' amid contract standoff as Spurs agree transfer

Tottenham are set for a big few weeks in their push this season, starting with Sunday's north London derby against Arsenal.

Victory in that tie would take Antonio Conte's side above the Gunners and increase their position in the driving seat for a top-four finish, with Spurs also boasting two games in hand.

Landing new players in the January transfer window could be crucial to that push and a wealth of rumours continue to float about.

In Italy, Paulo Dybala's name once again is mentioned with Tottenham as Corriere della Sera state Conte is 'in love' with the Argentine and Spurs are 'circling'.

Dybala's contract situation in Turin is uncertain with a big worry he won't renew his deal, despite a mutual agreement reportedly being reached back in October.

Until pen is put to paper, however, those concerns will remain and Spurs are considered to be in the running, alongside Inter Milan.

Elsewhere, the Mirror states Spurs are ready to offload Tanguy Ndombele to Italy after he was booed off in last weekend's FA Cup triumph against Morecambe.

The 25-year-old club-record signing was then axed from the squad for the midweek Carabao Cup defeat to Southampton and Spurs hope to ship his services to the Serie A.

Finally, Spurs starlet Dilan Markanday is closing in on a permanent switch to Blackburn Rovers for a fee of £500,000 up front, Sky Sports states.

That figure could rise significantly, however, due to a number of clauses in the deal - which include a sell-on clause.
