Tottenham after Italian star catching the eye at Euro 2020
Tottenham could be about to pursue one of the brightest stars a this summer’s competition, Domenico Berardi, according to Gazzetta dello Sport’s printed edition.
The report claims the club will demand a whopping £43million for the winger, who netted 17 goals and registered 8 assists in Serie A last season.
He has so far registered two assists and created the most chances out of anyone in Italy’s first two group matches at Euro 2020.
Berardi would be an excellent option for Spurs, though the report claims there are plenty of top clubs also considering making a move for the Italian international.
Southgate confirms Kane’s place for Czech clash
Gareth Southgate has all-but confirmed Harry Kane will start England’s final group stage match against the Czech Republic on Tuesday evening.
The England captain has received criticism for his performances so far at Euro 2020, but Southgate is looking to keep faith in his star man.
"Well you can assume that, yes, absolutely. I don't mind giving you that one," the England boss told ITV when asked if Kane would start.
The Three Lions will be hoping Kane will finally be able to get off the mark at the tournament on Tuesday night.
Tottenham told to hijack key Arsenal move
Tottenham favourite Darren Anderton has urged Spurs to launch a bid for Ben White, who is currently away with England on international duty at Euro 2020.
White has been the subject of speculation linking him with a move to Arsenal after a stellar debut Premier League campaign with Brighton Hove Albion.
"I’d love to see Tottenham go for Ben White," Anderton told GentingBet. "I think that he is a top, top player. Really impressed with him.
"I’d probably play him in the England team to be honest. I think he might be a better defender than the rest of them."
