Tottenham eye move for Argentina forward as Fabio Paratici's transfer mission becomes clear

Here is your Tottenham Hotspur morning digest on Wednesday, June 23.

Paratici can boost Spurs' transfer funds

Fabio Paratici can massively boost Tottenham's transfer kitty this summer by sanctioning moves for two players.

Serge Aurier, who has been linked with a move back to Paris Saint-Germain, is someone who could see his four-year stay at Spurs come to an end this summer.

Aurier has hinted in the past about possibly leaving N17 in the coming months and if Paratici allows the Ivorian to depart, it could be a decent windfall for him to use before the start of next season.

Another deal the new Tottenham chief could look at is selling Erik Lamela. The Argentine winger has been at Spurs for eight years now, but is in a similar boat to Aurier with his contract set to expire next summer.

Sterling's Spurs stance revealed

According to ESPN, Raheem Sterling is not keen on a move to Tottenham this summer after suggestions he could be included in a Manchester City bid for Harry Kane.

Kane continues to be linked with a move away from Spurs this summer, with City looking like the club most interested in the England captain.

Reports on Monday suggested the Premier League champions could come in with a bid of £100million for the 27-year-old and also could include a player to try and persuade Spurs, with Sterling being touted as an option.

However, ESPN say that the 26-year-old former Liverpool winger is not interested in switching to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer.

Spurs interested in Lazio star

According to Corriere dello Sport, via Sport Witness, Lazio forward Joaquin Correa could be sold this summer.

Another report from Italy, as per Il Tempo, claims that the Serie A club are trying to sign Borussia Dortmund midfielder Julian Brandt and would need to sell Correa in order to fund that deal.

Tottenham are one of the names that are credited with an interest in the Argentine star, but could face competition from Arsenal and West Ham United, it is claimed.

The report also says that Paratici, whilst he was at Juventus, saw a €40m bid for Correa turned down by Lazio.

The 26-year-old scored eight goals for his side in 28 appearances in Serie A last season.
