Tottenham eye Ajax wonderkid transfer as update given on Son Heung-min injury

Here is your Tottenham morning digest on Saturday, September 11.

Spurs eye Ajax’s Timber

Whilst Tottenham have just managed to sign a full-back in the form of Barcelona’s Emerson Royal, the club now have their eyes on another ahead of the January transfer window.

As per 90min, the north Londoners are monitoring Ajax defender Jurrien Timber.

The 20-year-old has finally made his breakthrough in Amsterdam last season and has gone on to become a key player for the Dutch giants, whilst also managing to become a six-time Netherlands international.

However, Spurs could face competition if they decide on making a move, with Chelsea also reportedly interested.

Espirito Santo gives Son update

Tottenham look likely to be without one of their key players for this weekend’s clash against Crystal Palace after Heung-Min Son was injured on international duty.

The South Korean suffered a calf problem and is back in London, with Nuno Espirito Santo revealing that he is set to undergo tests to determine the severity of the problem.

Talking in his pre-match press conference, the Portuguese said: "I don't know. Let's wait and see. The doctors will make the analysis."

Spurs name 25-man Premier League squad

Whilst Son’s inclusion against Palace in doubt, he is sure of his place in the squad for the season after Tottenham’s 25-man Premier League squad was announced.

The list was released on Friday evening and there was space for the majority of the club’s major summer signings including Emerson Royal and Cristian Romero.

However, Bryan Gil was missing off the list alongside Oliver Skipp.

Find out why the two were omitted here.
