Tottenham evening headlines as Mourinho challenges Bale and Reguilon injury blow confirmed

Here are your Tottenham evening headlines for Friday, February 19.

Sergio Reguilon update

Jose Mourinho does not believe Sergio Reguilon will be fit for Sunday's Premier League match at West Ham United and has given an update on Giovani Lo Celso.

When asked about Lo Celso's hamstring problem that has already kept him out since December, he provided a disappointing update on the 24-year-old Argentine and Reguilon.

"I don't know. Not close," he said on Lo Celso. "I think Reguilon next week against Wolfsberger home match.

"Not Gio. No, no, no. Gio is still a few weeks away and of course we need him because he gives us lots of qualities and options and we've missed him for a long time."

Gareth Bale challenge

Gareth Bale has started to show signs of life at Tottenham, providing that dazzling run at Manchester City that hinted that he was ready to offer more and he did so again on Thursday night.

He linked up well with Matt Doherty in the first half, the Irishman picking out his run to hit a low cross for Son to stoop and head home.

The best was yet to come though and Bale pulled a move out of his old playback. Once again Doherty played the ball into his path and he sprinted into the box before chopping the ball inside to send the covering defender sliding past him back to Austria.

Now with the space he needed in the box, the Welshman curled a powerful shot past the helpless goalkeeper, impressing manager Jose Mourinho in the process, who has set the Real Madrid loanee a challenge ahead of the game against West Ham.

Fixtures moved

Tottenham Hotspur now know when they will play their four Premier League games in March.

Tottenham's trip to Fulham, which can no longer be played in April due to the north London side's involvement in the Carabao Cup Final, will now take place on Thursday March 4, kick-off 6pm. That match will be shown on BT Sport.

Three days later, on Sunday March 7, Spurs will welcome Crystal Palace to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, kicking off at 7.15pm and with the game being screened on Sky Sports.

A week later comes the north London derby with Mourinho's men making the short trip to the Emirates Stadium to face Arsenal on Sunday, March 14, kick-off at 4.30pm. That match will be shown on Sky Sports.
