Tottenham evening headlines as Luis Campos reveals approach and latest on Son's military service

Here are your Tottenham evening headlines for Friday, April 10.

Details of Son’s military service to be kept secret from the public

Spurs’ South Korean star Son Heung-min is about to embark on his mandatory military service in his home country, but details will be kept from the public.

Son has returned to complete his four weeks of service during the current football shutdown.

The player’s management team released a statement stating that no information about the training will be released for safety reasons.

"After the news broke out that Son is having training, there were many fans and media contacts who want to see Son joining the training centre, on-site. Therefore we publish this to relay the correct information on it.

Spurs behind the scenes on transfers, Mourinho's training session and Levy backlash

"Recently, due to the Covid-19 situation, we need to restrain ourselves from a large gathering. To cooperate with the government's policy for Covid-19, Son has decided to join the training 'not open to the public', without giving any information in advance.

"We made the decision to protect fans and the media's safety, we ask for your kind understanding.”

How Spurs’ midfield could look next season

Tottenham’s erratic form and disappointing season thus far can be attributed to the constant chopping and changing in the middle of the park.

Thanks in part to injuries, but also loss of form and the loss of Christian Eriksen, Spurs have struggled to field a settled midfield for much of the campaign and it is certainly an area that will need addressing when the window opens.

With Jose Mourinho needing to make some big decisions over who stays and who goes, Alasdair Gold takes a deep dive into the Lilywhites’ problem area.

Tottenham sporting director target opens up on his future

Luis Campos has spoken about links to Tottenham Hotspur, admitting he has been approached by certain unnamed clubs.

The Lille sporting director is in demand and has been linked with a move away from the Ligue 1 side.

Campos, who worked with Spurs boss Jose Mourinho at Real Madrid, told Portuguese outlet Maisfutebol he was aware of the interest in his services.

"There have been approaches and there are approaches to be able to give my career a new direction," he revealed.

"Out of respect for the people who work in these clubs, I won't talk about names, but there were proposals.”
