Here are the Spurs evening headlines on Wednesday, June 3.
Mourinho rules out Coutinho transfer - report
Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho has ruled out a move for Phillipe Coutinho as his massive wages could cause disharmony in the Spurs camp.
Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo report that Mourinho will not risk a mutiny among his players by ruining the wage structure at his club.
Barcelona midfielder Coutinho is available for around £80million this summer, but his salary would exceed even Harry Kane’s £200,000 per week wages.
The Catalans signed Coutinho from Liverpool for £145m in 2018, but the Brazilian has struggled in Spain as well as on loan at Bayern Munich.
Spurs 'target' praised by Poland legend
Spurs 'target' Michal Karbownik has been praised by Polish footballing great Zbigniew Boniek.
The 19-year-old has turned heads in north London after a series of impressive performances for Legia Warsaw. Spurs, AC Milan and Real Betis are thought to be interested in the £10million-rated youngster.
And Boniek, who himself was named in Brazil legend Pele’s “FIFA 100” for the greatest footballers in the world back in 2004, has praised his fellow countryman.
“He is a young, ambitious boy who is developing quickly,” Boniek told TVP Sport. “Karbownik is an interesting and intelligent player.”
Son on military training
Spurs star Son Heung-min recently completed his mandatory four weeks of military training in his native South Korea and opened up on his time in service.
"It was a good experience," Son, who is now back in the UK, told Spurs' Twitter account. "I couldn't say everything that I've done but I enjoyed it. The three weeks were tough.
"On the first days no one knew each other so it was a bit weird, but soon we got to know each other. You have to spend every day together, there were ten people in one room so we got very close.
"We were working together, helping each other. In the first days the other guys couldn't even speak to me but by the end we were joking and enjoying together.”
