Tottenham evening headlines as Jose Mourinho issues Lo Celso injury update, new shirt leaked

Here are your Tottenham Hotspur evening headlines for Wednesday, March 10.

Mourinho issues Lo Celso update

Tottenham will be without central-midfielder Giovani Lo Celso for tomorrow evening's UEFA Europa League clash with Croatian outfit Dinamo Zagreb at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, head coach Jose Mourinho has confirmed.

The Argentine midfielder has been sidelined with a hamstring injury since just before Christmas after he was forced off in the 2-0 home defeat to Leicester City.

After several weeks of rehabilitation, Lo Celso looked to be in with a shout of returning tomorrow evening, but Mourinho has now been forced to pour cold water on those hopes, despite hinting last week that the central-midfielder could make a return for the first-leg of Spurs' latest UEFA Europa League outing.

However, the Portuguese chief has confirmed that the midfielder's absence will not be because of his recent hamstring complaint.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference on Wednesday, Mourinho explained: "Gio is not ready but it's nothing to do with his previous important injury, from which he's totally recovered.

"But with his accumulation of work his feelings are not the best at the moment, a little bit of some back pain so he's had to stop working the way he was doing. So not for this match.

"Apart from that, Joe Rodon the only player not selected because he is not in the UEFA list."

2021/22 home kit leaked

Spurs' home kit for the 2021/22 season has been leaked online, despite the current campaign being far from over.

After Spurs ended their alliance with Under Armour in 2017, the club agreed a 15-year contract with sportswear giant Nike to be the manufacturer for their kits.

In the past, Nike have developed some striking designs, featuring a yellow trim amongst other things, but next season's, if proven to be correct, is a plain design, almost like a classic Tottenham shirt from years gone by.

As reported by Footy Headlines, who have an excellent track record when it comes to kit leaks, Spurs' 2021/22 home shirt will be white and navy with no yellow featuring as is the case this season.

Milan set Kessie price

AC Milan will demand £42.8million if they are forced to part ways with midfield enforcer Franck Kessie this summer.

That is according to a report by Milan Live, via Sport Witness.

Spurs, along with Arsenal and Chelsea, have been recently linked with a move for the Ivory Coast international in an attempt to bolster their midfield options this forthcoming summer.

Kessie is out-of-contract at the San Siro in the summer of 2022, meaning he is not too far away from entering the final 12 months of his contract.

Milan want to retain his services but if an offer of around £43million comes their way then they are said to be willing to accept it.
