Tottenham evening headlines as Fraser makes contract decision, Mourinho willing to sell duo

Here are your Tottenham Hotspur headlines for the evening of Wednesday June 17.

Ryan Fraser makes Bournemouth decision amid Tottenham speculation

Midfielder Ryan Fraser has moved closer to leaving Bournemouth after rejecting a short-term contract offer that would have kept him at the Vitality Stadium until the end of the Premier League season.

The Scotland international’s contract is up this summer and has been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur, with Arsenal also believed to be among those interested in the Bournemouth man.

Eddie Howe had hoped to secure Fraser to a short-term extension, with the Premier League season only resuming this week after a three-month hiatus, but the player has rejected the Cherries’ offer.

This means the 26-year-old will be able to leave Bournemouth before the end of the season. Fraser hasn’t managed to replicate his success of the 2018/19 campaign this season, but is still a key member of the squad at the Vitality Stadium.

Jose Mourinho open to clearing decks to sign Paris Saint-Germain defender

Tottenham Hotspur could sell two players this summer in order to make room for the signing of Thomas Meunier if Jose Mourinho gets his way.

The Belgian right back’s contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires on June 30 and so Spurs could make a move, having failed to adequately replace Kieran Trippier following his exit to Atletico Madrid last summer.

According to The Times , Mourinho is keen on Meunier and is willing to sell both Serge Aurier and Kyle Walker-Peters to make space and raised funds for the wages that the Belgian international might demand.

Aurier has struggled for Tottenham this season while Walker-Peters was loaned out to Southampton for the second half of the campaign.

Danny Rose to be sold for a knockdown price this summer

Spurs plan on selling Danny Rose for a knockdown price of £5million this summer before the left back enters the final year of his contract next summer.

Football Insider claims the North London club will listen to offers for the England international who was valued at around £50m just two seasons ago when he was at his peak and among the best full backs in Europe.

It is reported that Tottenham rejected an offer of £15m from Watford last summer before Rose was loaned out to Newcastle United for the second half of the season in January.

Rose said earlier in the season that he would see out the final year of his contract, but Tottenham are now keen to move on the defender in order to raise funds and make space for new signings this summer.
