Joshua Oluwayemi was the hero for Tottenham Under-18s after saving two penalties to help his side seal victory over Arsenal in a feisty north London derby.

A 3-2 victory at Hotspur Way sees the young Spurs side return to the summit of the Under-18 Premier League South division and maintains their unbeaten start to the season.

Folarin Balogun opened the scoring for the Gunners early on before Jubril Okedina levelled for the home side just before the half-time whistle, powering home a header from Harvey White’s free-kick.

16-year-old Troy Parrott saw his free kick come back off the woodwork minutes into the second period before Tottenham’s growing confidence was rewarded when Rayan Clarke gave his side the lead five minutes later.

Another fine delivery from White saw Spurs add a third through Luis Binks but there was to be a tense finish with Balogun scoring his second of the game to give Arsenal a fighting chance.

After Matt Smith was denied from 12 yards earlier in the half, Sam Greenwood took responsibility for Arsenal’s second penalty just three minutes from time but again Oluwayemi kept it out as Spurs held on for the win.

Tottenham will be hoping to secure more London bragging rights when the first-team take on Maurizio Sarri’s unbeaten Chelsea later this evening.
