Tottenham defender Kieran Trippier discusses future amid Manchester United links

Kieran Trippier has admitted he does not know if he will be at Tottenham next season amid reports linking him with a move away from the club.

The England right-back has been linked with a move to Manchester United as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to bring in reinforcements following the departure of Antonio Valencia and Ashley Young's career nearing its end, and the 28-year-old has addressed his future following Spurs' Champions League final defeat to Liverpool.

"I want to stay in England, but what can you do?" Trippier said. "I’ll see what happens, and what the club wants, most importantly.

"I give everything for this club in training sessions, games. I don’t know [if I will be at Spurs next season]. I’ll go home now, spend time with my family and just recover after a long, difficult season.

"Everybody’s got a decision to make. Obviously, this club has been very good for me over the last few years, but I’ll enjoy my summer, come back in pre-season and that’s when I’ll sit down with the manager and have a talk about my future. I see a lot of speculation about me not being here."

United are also being linked with a move for PSG right-back Thomas Meunier although he has said he would prefer to stay in Paris.

"I want to stay," he told VTM news. "We have been talking about a contract extension for a while, but there’s no offer on the table anymore. I’m ready to stay in Paris. Everybody knows."
