Ben Davies admitted it is always a “big moment” when Tottenham beat North London rivals Arsenal.
Tottenham are on course to finish above Arsenal for a fifth season running and victory at the Emirates on Sunday and could move ten points ahead of their neighbours.
Spurs defender Davies said: “Of course it’s always a big moment when we beat them because football is about rivalry and the passion that comes with it and if we beat them then it’s all the better.
“There’s two for me that stand out. The Carabao Cup tie (2018) at their place, we went to the Emirates, kept a clean sheet, won 2-0 and that was a special result because we celebrated in front of the away fans there.
“Also, when we beat them at Wembley 1-0 when Harry Kane scored because that was another good day for us, we were on a good run, we’d had a tough period as well so to win that one was special.
“I think we’ve turned a corner now and after a goof run of results we want to go into this derby full of confidence and hopefully it can pan out to be a big game for us.”

Davies also says that in-form Kane has become so important for the club but not just because of his goals this season.
Davies added: “He’s huge. I think his goals speak for themselves this season with the amount he chips in for us, he’s a real talisman for the team.
“But also just around the place, he’s a very hard worker, very determined and when you have somebody like him leading the way, not just in terms of being such a big character, but also leading by example, he is very inspirational for everyone else.
“The stats speak for themselves in terms of how good he’s been this year but as a squad it’s quite hard for us to say because we see the quality that he brings every single day.
“On the training pitch, we see his quality in so many games and it’s hard to say he’s taken a step up because he’s so good anyway. If he keeps up this form then it’s going to be another amazing season for him.”
