Heung-Min Son was today waiting to learn whether he has a chance of playing against Everton on the final day of the season.
Tottenham were this morning considering whether to appeal the South Korean’s red card against Bournemouth on Saturday.
Son was sent off in the first half of the 1-0 defeat at Bournemouth after he reacted angrily to a challenge from Jefferson Lerma.
Son pushed Lerma in the chest but referee Craig Pawson missed Lerma appearing to strike Son in the back and then standing on his foot. Spurs had until midday today to decide whether to contest the dismissal.
The reaction was out of out of character from Son, who faces a three-match ban which would rule him out of the final game of the season at home to Everton on Sunday when Spurs are expected secure a top-four finish.
He would also be suspended for the first two Premier League matches of next season.
