Tottenham confirmed team vs Watford: Harry Kane starts again as Lucas drops out

Nuno Espirito Santo has chosen the Tottenham Hotspur team that he believes can climb to the summit of the Premier League with a victory against Watford.

If Spurs can see off the newly-promoted Hornets on Sunday afternoon at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium then they will be the only team in the Premier League to win all of their opening three matches this season.

Trying to help lift Tottenham to the top of the table is Harry Kane, who, fresh from his statement about staying at the club and his two goals on Thursday night, starts against Watford.

His inclusion means Lucas Moura drops out of the Premier League starting XI that beat Wolves at Molineux last weekend.

Cristian Romero had some issues after the second leg Europa Conference League match against Pacos de Ferreira and he is on the bench, while Joe Rodon and Cameron Carter-Vickers remain out injured.

Tanguy Ndombele continues to be out of the squad reckoning along with Serge Aurier.

Here is the team Espirito Santo has chosen and the bench:

Lloris; Tanganga, Dier, Sanchez, Reguilon; Skipp, Hojbjerg, Alli; Son, Kane, Bergwijn.

Subs: Gollini, Doherty, Davies, Romero, Winks, Lo Celso, Sessegnon, Bryan, Lucas.
