Tottenham confirm quadruple injury blow ahead of Manchester United fixture

Tottenham will still be without four key players for the fixture against Manchester United on Wednesday night.

Jose Mourinho returns to Old Trafford for the first time as a manager since being sacked a year ago, but has a few injury concerns ahead of the match.

Goalkeepers Hugo Lloris and Michel Vorm remain out with elbow and calf injuries respectively, while Wales international Ben Davies will miss the match with an ankle injury.

Argentinian winger Erik Lamela has also failed to recover from his recent hamstring injury in time to feature at Old Trafford.

Mourinho is set for a warm welcome when he returns to Manchester in midweek, but speaking ahead of the game the Portuguese insisted his time at the club is 'a closed chapter'.

"I left the club," he said.

"I took my time to process everything that happened, took my time to prepare myself for the next challenge and honestly Manchester United for me now is in my book of experiences, my history book.

"At United I won and I learned. My time after I left was a good time for me.

"It is not for me to analyse United now. I analyse them as an opponent, how they play. How can we beat them? How can they beat us? For me that is the important thing."
