Tottenham confirm Jose Mourinho's coaching staff as five new faces join backroom team

Tottenham have confirmed five of the men to join Jose Mourinho in the dugout as part of their new look coaching staff.

Spurs sacked Mauricio Pochettino after more than five years in the job on Tuesday, and announced the appointment of former Chelsea and Manchester United boss Mourinho on Wednesday morning.

Joao Sacramento will become Mourinho’s assistant, joining from French side Lille, along with new goalkeeping coach Nuno Santos.

Carlos Lalin, who was part of Mourinho’s backroom staff at Chelsea, Man United and Real Madrid, will take on the role of fitness coach.

Ricardo Formosinho and Giovanni Cerra, who both worked with Mourinho at Old Trafford, arrive as tactical and technical analysts respectively.

Mourinho took training for the first time on Wednesday afternoon as the majority of Tottenham’s players returned from international duty.

He will be in the dugout for the first time or this weekend’s Premier League away trip to London rivals West Ham.
