Here is your Tottenham morning digest for Tuesday, February 2.
Gazzaniga departs
Paulo Gazzaniga left Tottenham on deadline day, joining La Liga outfit Elche on loan.
The Argentine had fallen down the pecking order at Spurs, sitting behind now number two Joe Hart and starter Hugo Lloris.
Hart's presence has seen Gazzaniga even left out of Europa League and domestic cup games, leaving him starving for action.
As a result, Spurs have allowed him to leave in order to get first-team football, linking up with an Elche side currently 19th in the La Liga table and two points from safety but with two games in hand.
Where it went wrong for Alli and how situation must be fixed
At first it seemed like Jose Mourinho and Dele Alli might be a match made in heaven.
The young England midfielder had struggled with a dip in form but was beginning to rediscover his way in front of goal in Mauricio Pochettino 's final weeks at Tottenham Hotspur.
Mourinho joked with him in his first training session at Hotspur Way, asking if he was talking to "Dele Alli or Dele Alli's brother" as he had not seen the player in the past couple of seasons who had taken the Premier League by storm.
Sir Alex Ferguson's one piece of advice to Mourinho while the Portuguese was Manchester United boss was to sign Alli, who the Scot saw as a generational talent.

Initially the Alli revival continued under the new boss, with the midfielder involved in eight goals in Mourinho's first eight games, netting five times and providing three assists.
Then the goals began to dry up, with Mourinho also questioning the player's "lazy" training in a one-to-one meeting with him, during a pre-match team meeting and in a chat with Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy.
That all three were captured on camera and used in the Amazon All or Nothing series probably did not help.
Those same cameras also showed Alli complaining about the football under Mourinho at half-time in the Champions League defeat at home to RB Leipzig.
Gedson leaves Spurs
Gedson Fernandes has been recalled from his Tottenham loan spell by Benfica after a nightmare 12 months in London.
Though, he did not return to Portugal, instead joining Galatasaray on loan for the rest of the season.
The 22-year-old has struggled to get minutes at Spurs this season and was particularly affected by the club's excess of foreign players.
With Tottenham being over the limit with 'non-locally trained' players, Jose Mourinho decided to leave Gedson and goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga out of his Europa League squad for the group stages.
That removed the young Portuguese's best chance for game time and opportunities to impress his compatriot Mourinho.
He now head to Turkey in the hope of enjoying a more productive loan spell.
