Tottenham confirm departure of three senior players as transfer rebuild begins

Tottenham have announced the departures of Lucas Moura, Arnaut Danjuma and Clement Lenglet.

The release of the club’s retained list on Thursday night confirmed several players will be finding new clubs this summer as the rebuild under new manager Ange Postecoglou begins in earnest.

Brazilian winger Moura’s contract will expire at the end of the month after five-and-a-half years in north London. Crystal Palace are rumoured to be interested in the 30-year-old’s signature.

The loan spells of Lenglet, from Barcelona, and Danjuma, from Villarreal, have also come to an end. They made 35 and 10 appearances respectively although Danjuma’s only start came ina 3-1 defeat to Brentford late in the season.

Tottenham have also named the development squad names departing in the summer. Jamie Bowden, Kallum Cesay, Malachi Fagan-Walcott, Roshaun Mathurin, Marqes Muir and Romaine Mundle will all head for pastures new.

From the Under-18s, Thomas Bloxham, Brandon Bryan-Waugh and Riley Owen move on after their scholarships ended.
