Tottenham close in on £25m Ryan Sessegnon but face Giovani Lo Celso and Bruno Fernandes challenges

Tottenham are closing in on a deal for Fulham's Ryan Sessegnon.

Spurs were on Monday still working to reach an agreement for the 19-year-old, who has one year remaining on his contract, but the clubs are expected to settle on a fee of around £25million.

Sessegnon has already indicated that he wants to move to north London, despite interest from the likes of Manchester United earlier in the summer.

Joshua Onomah, the Spurs midfielder, could move in the opposite direction although the deals are being kept separate.

Spurs have not given up hope of landing Real Betis' playmaker Giovani Lo Celso before Thursday's 5pm transfer deadline, although they still remain some way from agreeing a fee with the Spanish club.

They are also interested in Bruno Fernandes of Sporting Lisbon, with much dependent on Christian Eriksen's future.

The Dane, who has entered the final year of his Spurs deal, has long been admired by United and has said he wants a "new challenge".
