Tottenham Champions League squad announced - with five surprise inclusions

UEFA have announced Tottenham's Champions League squad ahead of the round of 16 tie against RB Leipzig at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium tonight (Wednesday).

Spurs take on the Bundesliga side as they look to go one better than last season, where they made it to the final of the competition, losing to fellow Premier League side Liverpool.

Tottenham qualified for the knockout stages by finishing second in group B behind Bayern Munich, and face another German side in the first knockout round of the tournament.

RB Leipzig finished at the top of group G, ahead of Lyon. They are also just one point behind German giants Bayern at the top of Bundesliga this season.

Ahead of the game, UEFA have published Tottenham's Champions League squad on their website, and there are five young players included in the list.

Midfielders Jamie Bowden and Harvey White, who are both 18 are included along with winger J'Neil Bennet (18).

Mourinho has also opted to add some young options in defence with Malachi Walcott (17) and Dennis Cirkin (17) also included on the list.

With the news of Son Heung-min's injury, more emphasis may be on giving young striker Troy Parrott the chance, and the 18-year-old has been included alongside Harry Kane in the squad.

January recruits Steven Bergwijn and Gedson Fernandes are also new additions to the squad, while midfielder Victor Wanyama has dropped out.
