Tottenham captain Hugo Lloris and his children post heartwarming thank you message to the NHS

Tottenham captain Hugo Lloris and his family posted a heartwarming video in support of NHS staff and hospitals around the world.

At 8pm on Thursday night, people throughout the United Kingdom demonstrated their gratitude to those helping to fight against the coronavirus pandemic with a moving display of national unity, taking part in the "Clap for Carers" tribute from their doorsteps, windows and living rooms.

Spurs goalkeeper Lloris and his family were among those to show their appreciation for the NHS and care workers, with wife Marine taking to social media to post a video alongside the caption: "A big thank you to the NHS, to the hospitals in France and all around the world.

"Let’s all clap our hands today 8 pm to show them how grateful we are #clapforourcarers #nhs #hero #grateful."

In the video, Lloris' eldest daughter has written "NHS thank you" on a whiteboard and says: "Thank you to the NHS, we send you lots of love."

Lloris then adds: "Clap your hands for the NHS", before the family applaud in unison.

As well as their captain and other players, Tottenham as a club also took part in "Clap for Carers" by adding the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to the list of London venues that was lit up in NHS blue on Thursday night.
