Tottenham can rival Liverpool, Man United and Chelsea with Gareth Bale signing

Tottenham Hotspur will have one of the best-attacking trios in the Premier League once Gareth Bale's return is confirmed.

That is the view of former England international Owen Hargreaves who thinks a front three of the Welshman, Harry Kane and Son Heung-min can rival the likes of Liverpool, both Manchester clubs and Chelsea.

"If you think about Gareth Bale, truly a world-class player with a point to prove," Hargreaves said on BT Sport. "He's too good not to be playing football.

Gareth Bale set to top list of Premier League’s biggest earners

"Now when you think about Spurs, he's perfect. He single-handedly dragged them to the place they were when he was there.

"He's just what they need, Mourinho needs that, Kane needs that.

"All of a sudden that becomes probably one of the best front threes in the whole division."

To which former Chelsea midfielder Joe Cole agreed with.

"Without a doubt, Cole added. "He will galvanise them. I've been in dressing rooms when big stars come in. When Jose walked in it galvanised them for a little bit.

"But with Bale walking in, whether he's one of their own, he was part of the journey where Spurs went from middle of the road club to competing.

"Now he's come back, there's question marks like the papers have said, but of course he's still got it.

"Gareth Bale, for me, is still one of the top players when he's on form and when he's playing. Unbelievable player."

Hargreaves concluded the discussion by making a Bale and Harry Kane prediction to excite Tottenham fans.

"This [Inter Milan hat-trick] is when, maybe Inter didn't know about him, but I tell you what, everybody knew about him after this and that's what got him that Real Madrid move.

"These performances, absolutely almost unplayable.

"I think we're going to see a hungry Gareth Bale.

"He may not be as quick, but I would love to see him play centrally with Harry Kane.

"When you think about the pace they have out wide with Son and Bergwijn, imagine Kane and Bale together centrally, they are going to tear people up!".
