Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has been charged with improper conduct by the FA over his clash with referee Mike Dean at Turf Moor on Saturday.

The Spurs boss confronted Dean following the 2-1 defeat to Burnley, in which the home side's opener came via a controversial corner.

The FA say Pochettino has been charged with ‘two breaches of FA Rule E3.’

A statement said: “It is alleged the Tottenham Hotspur manager’s language and/or behaviour at the end of the fixture – both on the pitch and in or around the tunnel area – amounted to improper conduct.

“He has until 18:00 on 28 February 2019 to respond to the charge.”

Pochettino admitted after the game that he had “crossed the line”, and said he would accept any punishment from the FA.

Earlier on Monday, it was confirmed that Mike Dean had been stood down from his scheduled fourth official duties for Tottenham’s London derby against Chelsea on Wednesday.
