Former Chelsea player-manager Ruud Gullit has insisted that RB Leipzig boss Julian Nagelsmann 'sussed out' Jose Mourinho in Tottenham's 1-0 defeat to the Germans on Wednesday night.
Timo Werner scored the only goal of the game from the penalty spot just before the hour mark as the Bundesliga side picked a vital win on the road.
Mourinho was missing key men Harry Kane and Son Heung-min for the encounter in the capital but Gullit has criticised the Portuguese boss for his pragmatic approach to the clash.
"There are some new kids in town. That's the point and also it's a different philosophy and a different way," Gullit told beIN SPORTS.
"In the way that he (Mourinho) plays his football, they sussed him out a little bit. Everybody knows what he tries to do.
"It's not old-fashioned football but they know him so therefore they anticipate it. The coach said it already that they will park the bus."
The former Blues manager also somewhat bizarrely took aim at Atletico Madrid, who defeated Liverpool in their Champions League last 16 first-leg tie despite having endured a difficult La Liga campaign to date.
Gullit added: "It's the same with Atletico. They have played for a long time in that way. After a while, it's finished, it's over. You need a little bit of a new challenge."
Spurs will have a chance to overturn the 1-0 aggregate deficit when they make the return trip to Germany on Tuesday March 10.
