Igor Tudor has been charged by the FA for his comments about referee Thomas Bramall after Tottenham’s defeat at Fulham.

Tudor accused Bramall of being a "home referee" who “doesn't understand football".

The Spurs boss was furious at what he called an “incredible mistake” and accused Raul Jimenez of “cheating” by pushing Radu Dragusin before Harry Wilson scored the opener for Fulham in a 2-0 defeat at Craven Cottage.

Tudor said: "I didn't like the referee today, too much of a home team referee I didn't feel well with him. All the decisions were on their side.

Tudor said Bramall ‘doesn’t understand football’ (BBC Sport)

“He doesn't understand football, the feeling of what is wrong and what is right.”

Tudor has been charged by the FA with misconduct by allegedly “making comments that imply bias and/or question integrity and/or are personally offensive in relation to a match official”.

He has until Monday to reply to the charge.

An FA statement on Thursday said: “Tottenham Hotspur’s Igor Tudor has been charged with misconduct following comments that he made after their game against Fulham on Sunday 1 March in the Premier League.

“The manager allegedly acted in an improper manner during a post-match interview by making comments that imply bias and/or question integrity and/or are personally offensive in relation to a match official.

“Igor Tudor has until Monday 23 March to reply to this charge.”
