Tottenham appoint Roberto De Zerbi as new head coach as club battle to stay in Premier League

  • His appointment has faced opposition from several Tottenham fan groups, who had urged the club not to hire him.
  • The fan groups' concerns arose from De Zerbi's public defence of controversial player Mason Greenwood during his tenure at Marseille, following the dropping of charges against Greenwood.
