Tottenham have appointed Adam Gardiner as their chief marketing officer.

Gardiner will officially start work at Spurs in early 2026, having agreed to leave Arsenal where he has worked as the club's marketing director for the past five years.

Before that, Gardiner held several leadership roles at Nike.

Gardiner will not be the only figure at Spurs with an Arsenal connection. The club's chief executive Vinai Venkatesham held that same role with the Gunners before leaving in 2024 and joining Spurs earlier this year.

In his new position at Spurs, Gardiner will be responsible for developing strategies to "deepen engagement with fans" and work across branding and marketing.

“It’s an incredibly exciting time for the club," Gardiner said.

"Tottenham Hotspur has a rich history and strong values, and there’s a huge opportunity ahead. I’m honoured to be appointed and look forward to working with a talented team to make Spurs supporters proud."

Venkatesham said: “I’m delighted that Adam will be joining us as chief marketing officer.

"This role is critical to our plans to strengthen our connection with our supporters, and we look forward to Adam joining our executive team in due course.”

Gardiner's arrival continues a busy period for Spurs off the pitch.

Venkatesham is now responsible for the day-to-day running of the club, following Daniel Levy's departure last week after almost 25 years as executive chairman.

There has been an effort to improve communication between the club's hierarchy and the supporters since Venkatesham started work earlier this year.

He sat down for an interview with Spurs' in-house media team earlier this week, in which he said the club has the "firm backing" of the Lewis family and the focus is on taking the "next step" to win major trophies.
