Tottenham and QPR in advanced talks over Jack Clarke loan

QPR are in advanced talks with Tottenham over a loan deal for winger Jack Clarke.

The teenager joined Spurs in the summer for £10million from Leeds United and was sent back to Elland Road on loan for this season.

Clarke, however, has played just 19 minutes of Championship football during the current campaign and was consequently recalled by Tottenham.

The club are now looking to loan him out again and QPR are in negotiations with Spurs over a deal until the end of the season.

A number of Championship sides have expressed an interest in Clarke, including Millwall, while Scottish champions Celtic have also been tracking him.

QPR, however, are now leading the race to sign the 19-year-old as they look to bolster their attacking options.

Should Clarke opt to make the move to west London he would end up joining fellow Spurs youngster Luke Amos, who has impressed on loan at QPR this season.

The signing of Clarke would be a major coup for QPR given that a number of Championship sides have been chasing his signature.

The teenager was a standout performer for Leeds last season in their run to the Play-offs and that form has attracted interest from a number of clubs.

Tottenham too have high hopes for Clarke, as shown by their decision to part with £10m to sign him last summer, and it is thought a loan move could reignite his season.
