Tottenham Hotspur and Mauricio Pochettino have been handed a welcome injury boost ahead of the London derby against West Ham United.
Whilst that game is still some days away, there was some concern over Tanguy Ndombele's availabilty.
The club record signing was substituted at half-time in Saturday's 1-1 draw against Sheffield United at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and Pochettino confirmed it was due to a groin problem.
"We need to assess him now. I don't know anything at this moment. He felt pain in his groin but I don't know if that was before or during the game it happened," Pochettino said.
"Yes, a strange situation because my feeling was that he wasn't comfortable on the pitch but he said was ok during the game.
"Then in the end we arrived at half-time and the doctor said to me that we needed to change because he can't continue in the game."
With that said, it doesn't appear that the injury is too serious as France manager Didier Deschamps delivered an encouraging update ahead of games against Moldova and Albania.
"Tanguy has arrived at Clairefontaine, Monday morning, before all of the others," Deschamps told reporters . "He had a reassuring conversation with the doctor.
"There is a little knock which should be sorted out in the next 48 hours."
It's been a disappointing start to the domestic season for Spurs, but this Ndombele injury update is certainly positive news.
The Lilywhites are back in action after the international break against the Hammers at the London Stadium and it looks like Pochettino will be able to call upon his record signing.
The France international has been one of the more impressive performers in recent weeks and looks set to play a key role in helping Spurs turn around their Premier League campaign.
