Tottenham target Gareth Bale filmed leaving Real Madrid in 27th minute of match amid Spurs transfer talks

Gareth Bale left Real Madrid's training base during his side's pre-season clash with Getafe on Tuesday, according to reports in Spain.

The reigning La Liga champions played Getafe in a behind-closed-doors friendly at their Valdebebas training complex ahead of the new campaign.

However, Bale was not involved in the fixture given he has been on an individual training programme since returning from international duty with a knee problem.

Cameras captured footage of Bale leaving the club's plush training facilities in the 27th minute of Real Madrid's 6-0 friendly triumph.

Spanish media outlet Marca say Bale's teammate Eden Hazard - who has also been working his way back to full fitness - also left the training ground shortly after the Welshman departed.

No press or TV cameras were allowed to watch the friendly fixture.

It comes as Bale looks set to secure a return to Tottenham in the summer transfer window.

The 31-year-old has been the subject of interest from former club Spurs and Manchester United of late.

On Tuesday night, the Wales star's agent Jonathan Barnett confirmed they are in talks with Tottenham.

"Gareth still loves Spurs," Barnett told BBC Sport Wales.

"We are talking [Spurs, Real and Bale's camp]. It's where he wants to be."

Real Madrid begin their 2020/21 league campaign against Real Sociedad on Sunday, with Bale unlikely to feature for Zinedine Zidane's side.
