Tanguy Ndombele's protracted move to Tottenham has been one of the transfer sagas of the summer - and it could be about to come to an end.
The Lyon midfielder has been heavily linked with a move to Spurs in the summer transfer window, with Tottenham reportedly closing in on a €62m deal, plus €10m in add-ons, for the 22-year-old.
That would make him the club's record signing, with the north London side tracking the midfielder for the past two years.
However, while reports in France tonight (Sunday) suggest that Lyon and Spurs have now reached agreement over the fee, L'Equipe claim that personal terms are yet to be agreed between Tottenham and the player, suggesting that this leaves the door open for a "surprise" late move from Manchester United.
The Red Devils have previously been linked with the 22-year-old, while Juventus, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain have also been listed as potential suitors for Ndombele in the past.
United have been linked with several players this summer, including a number of midfielders such as Newcastle's Sean Longstaff and Portuguese international Bruno Fernandes.
