Tottenham and Man United fans noticed what Mauricio Pochettino did against Barcelona

Mauricio Pochettino's return to Champions League football has garnered a massive reaction from Tottenham and Manchester United fans.

The Argentine took his Paris Saint-Germain side to the Camp Nou for a round of 32 first-leg clash against Barcelona and oversaw a tactical masterclass.

Kylian Mbappe's hat-trick and a goal from Moise Kean has given the Ligue 1 giants a 4-1 lead heading into the second leg on home soil and should be confident of getting the job done next month.

However, there will be some memories of the memorable comeback Barcelona produced when the sides last met at this stage of the competition four years ago.

Premier League top scorer

Whether another thriller is in store remains to be seen, but a lot of praise has been heaped on Pochettino.

For many Man United fans, it wasn't so much about the result or the performance, but more to do with a key decision the former Tottenham head coach made at half-time.

With Idrissa Gueye walking the disciplinary tightrope after being shown a yellow card in the 20th minute, Pochettino, not wanting to risk going down to 10-men, took the midfielder off at half-time.

This prompted flashbacks to earlier in the season for United fans when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer didn't take off Fred whilst on a yellow card against PSG and paid the ultimate price.

The Brazilian was sent off for a second bookable offence and the Red Devils went on to lose 3-1.

Take a look at what has been said about Pochettino's decision on Twitter...

Whereas the reaction from Spurs fans was of happiness for their former manager.
