Jose Mourinho will be forced into a midfield reshuffle for Tottenham Hotspur's trip to Norwich City this weekend.
The Lilywhites' final game of 2019 is at Carrow Road as they look to round off the decade with an important three points in their bid to seal a top four spot come the end of the season.
Hopes of qualifying for the Champions League via their Premier League finish took a huge dent at the weekend when they were beaten 2-0 at home by London rivals Chelsea.
That result left Spurs six points behind the Blues ahead of their game against Brighton & Hove Albion on Boxing Day.
And things got worse when Adam Webster's goal shortly before half-time left the north London out 45 minutes away from suffering back-to-back home defeats.
Mourinho's side did turn the game around in the second half thanks to goals from Harry Kane and Dele Alli, and they'll hope to follow it up by beating the Canaries.
However, hopes of doing that have been hit with the news that Harry Winks and Moussa Sissoko will miss the game against the Canaries.
This is because of suspension.
Winks picked up his fifth booking of the season for a foul on Ezequiel Schelotto - although replays showed very minimal contact.
Sissoko didn't learn from Winks' mistake as he had a mini scuff with Dan Burn late in the game which resulted in his name going into the book.
Interestingly, Boxing Day is the cut off date for Premier League suspensions for players who have picked up four yellow cards.
Winks and Sissoko's suspension could open the door for Tanguy Ndombele to return.
The Frenchman was left out of the matchday squad against the Seagulls and football.london understands that was a decision made by Mourinho rather than anything injury related.
