Tottenham and Crystal Palace fans can help a very good cause on the way to Saturday's match

Tottenham Hotspur and Crystal Palace fans are being urged to help those in need on their way to Saturday's Premier League match.

Mauricio Pochettino's men welcome Roy Hodgson's side this weekend, 3pm kick-off, and ahead of the game a new foodbank will be looking for donations.

The Trussell Trust, Freedoms Ark Church and Crutch Haringey (part of Citizens Advice Haringey) are opening the new Tottenham Foodbank at Tottenham Town Hall soon. It will replace the previous Trussell Trust foodbank that previously operated out of the Selby Centre.

This Saturday, between 11.30am and 3pm, there will be a food donation drive outside Tottenham Town Hall, which is just a short walk from Seven Sisters Station, almost on the route to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Tottenham Hotspur Supporters' Trust has been playing a big part in promoting the food drive, asking people to buy some food from a local shop and pop it ion their way to the match for those in need.

The shopping wish-list for the food drive contains: cereal, soup, pasta, rice, tinned tomatoes and pasta sauce, lentils, beans, pulses, tinned meat, tinned vegetables, tea/coffee, tinned Fruit, toiletries and sanitary products.

For more information, contact Crutch Haringey on their website here or on Twitter here and Facebook here.
