Tottenham and Arsenal departures, Manchester United demand £20m agreement - European rumours

Time for European clubs to conclude their summer transfer business is quickly running out with the majority of deadlines closing on September 2.

Premier League managers had to call time on their summer recruitment over a fortnight ago, but other clubs in Europe, including those in Scotland, have until September 2 to finish their summer shopping.

And while Premier League sides are unable to bolster their ranks, there is still time for players to depart England’s top flight, as well as players being allowed to also venture across some of Europe’s other top leagues.

Here are some of the very latest transfer rumours from right across Europe.

Sanchez latest amid United exit talk

Manchester United are demanding that Inter Milan will make a £20m move to sign Alexis Sanchez on a permanent basis, should the Chile international join the Italian giants on loan.

Talks between the two European clubs have been rumbling on for several weeks, with both United and Inter eager to conclude a deal.

But the Daily Mail are reporting that Inter, managed by former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte, only intend to offer the former Arsenal man £150,000 a week in any permanent deal, meaning the Red Devils would still need to cough up the other £350,000 of his £500,000 a week salary.

Tottenham departure imminent

Tottenham midfielder Victor Wanyama could bag himself a tidy £65,000 per week sum if his proposed move to Belgian outfit Club Brugge is finalised, according to The Scottish Sun.

Wanyama, who joined Spurs from Southampton in June 2016, is understood to be close to completing a £13.5m switch to the 15-time Belgian top flight champions.

The former Celtic man seemingly has no future with Tottenham having not played any part in their opening two Premier League fixtures.

Elneny could still leave Arsenal

French club Bordeaux are considering a move for Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny before the European transfer window closes for business next week.

According to Foot Mercato, the 1995 UEFA Intertoto Cup winners are keen on signing the Egypt midfielder on a season-long loan deal.

Elneny made just eight Premier League appearances last season and now finds himself even further down Gunners boss Unai Emery’s midfield options list following the signing of Dani Ceballos.

Ex-Cardiff man set for Serie A

Italian news outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport are reporting that former Cardiff City midfielder Gary Medel is close to joining Serie A club Bologna from Besiktas.

It is believed that Bologna have agreed a €2.5m fee with the Turkish club as they look to bring the Chile midfielder back to Italy’s top flight.

Medel, who joined Cardiff back in 2013 for a club-record fee of £11m, has previously spent time with Inter Milan.
