Tottenham agree £11m fee with Swansea City for Joe Rodon

Tottenham are set to sign Joe Rodon from Swansea City after agreeing a fee for the centre-back.

Spurs have been keen admirers of the Wales international for some time, although Swansea were reluctant to sell their prized asset.

But the clubs finally agreed a deal at the 11th hour on transfer deadline day for Rodon to move to the English capital.

It's understood that Jose Mourinho's side will pay £11m plus add-ons for the 22-year-old in a deal that could be worth up to £15m.

Rodon missed a significant chunk of the 2018/19 campaign with a metatarsal injury while he sustained two separate ankle problems last term.

However, he has been a monumental figure for both club and country, with Rodon being a key man in Swansea's impressive start to the current campaign while he has earned seven Wales caps under Ryan Giggs.

Swansea have lined up Wolves defender Ryan Bennett as a potential replacement for Rodon.

They have already completed the signings of Joel Latibeaudiere and Kasey Palmer from Man City and Bristol City respectively on deadline day.
