Spurs emphatically sealed their spot in the last-16 of the Europa League on Wednesday evening as they thumped their Austrian opponents again in north London.
Dele Alli scored a sublime overhead kick, while also providing assists for Gareth Bale and Carlos Vinicius in a 4-0 last-32 second-leg victory at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Youngsters Marcel Lavinier, Nile John and Dane Scarlett all came on for Spurs, with the latter playing a key role in Vinicius’ second goal of the night.
An 8-1 aggregate win means Tottenham - who won the first leg 4-1 in Budapest last week - are in the hat for Friday’s last-16 draw, which takes place in Nyon, Switzerland.
The Europa League now looks like Tottenham’s sole route back into the Champions League next season, with their torrid Premier League run leaving them ninth and nine points adrift of the top four.
