Tottenham 3-0 Norwich: Efficient performance sends Antonio Conte’s side fifth

In truth, the 3-0 scoreline Tottenham racked up against Norwich City on Sunday flattered them somewhat.

For large parts, Spurs looked in far less control than they did against Brentford in midweek, albeit were playing safe in the knowledge that their opponents struggle to score.

While it was far from the perfect performance, Lucas Moura stood out in the first-half.

Not only was his opener within twenty minutes a fantastic solo goal, the Brazilian caused all sorts of problems when dropping into the number ten position, injecting some much-needed pace behind Harry Kane

From there, Tottenham exploited another set-piece. Much as they did on Thursday, Son’s corners caused problems in the opposition box, allowing Davinson Sanchez to sweep a second home just after the hour mark.

The South Korean then added a late third to maintain Antonio Conte’s unbeaten record in the Premier League ahead of their return to Europa Conference League action later this week.

Into fifth before Arsenal play Everton on Monday, Spurs can start to dream.
