'Total madness' Warning as scores of cars swarm Scots beauty spot partly blocking rural road

Scores of cars have swarmed on a Scots beauty spot in scenes that have been branded 'madness' by locals.

Vehicles have been pictured overflowing the car park at the Muir of Dinnet National Nature Reserve in Aberdeenshire today.

Locals have hit out about the risk of spreading coronavirus.

The rural B9119 has cars parked along it with dozens of cars parking nose to tail as people took to the reserve.

Bosses at the reserve have since taken to social media and shared the pictures.

In a statement they urged visitors to be 'careful and considerate'.

They wrote on Facebook: |It's that time of day folks, in fact, its beyond that time of day.

"Whilst on patrol the Burn O' Vat carpark filled and is brimming full with a 25 car overspill snaking up the B9119.

"Please be careful and considerate to all road users and go to your exciting plan B."

But locals have hit out at the visitors.

One wrote: "What bit of "avoid crowded areas" and have plan B/C/D do these folk not get?:

Another added: "That's just crazy."

Another branded the scenes 'total madness'.
