Tory rising star Rishi Sunak has said "of course" he knows when the party's manifesto is out - but he won't confirm the date.
Mr Sunak, chief secretary to the Treasury, said it would be released "very shortly" but stopped short of saying exactly when.
It has been anticipated the document could be released on Sunday, though Chancellor Sajid Javid spoke of "next week" when he referenced it yesterday.
The Lib Dems were the first of the main three parties to release their policies, while Labour launched its yesterday.
Asked when the public might get sight of the Tory manifesto, Mr Sunak told GMB: "Of course you'll get it before the election happens, you'll get it very shortly.
"These things don't all come out on the same day."
Asked if he knew himself, he said "of course", but said: "I can't tell you right now exactly when it's going to come."
Mr Sunak instead tried to push forward his criticism of the Labour manifesto, saying he felt it would be reasonable for him to be questioned on his thoughts towards it.
Though the date of the Tory's manifesto has not been forthcoming, the party has trickled out aspects of policy which it looks likely to contain.
This includes plans for raising the stamp duty rate for non-residents, which it says would help tackle homelessness and assist more Britons in getting on the housing ladder.
