Tory MP tells Prince Harry to 'just shut the f*** up' in response to interview teaser

A Tory MP has told Prince Harry to “just shut the f*** up” in response to a trailer for his bombshell new CBS interview.

Tim Loughton, the MP for East Worthing and Shoreham, hit out at the Duke of Sussex on Twitter after a video showed him making more explosive claims about the royal family’s “betrayal”.

It is not the first time the former Children’s minister has taken aim at the Prince after he slammed Harry and Meghan’s six-part Netflix documentary last month.

On December 8 Mr Loughton tweeted: “As a Member of Parliament for a Sussex constituency and having been born in Sussex and lived most of my life here I am ashamed that this deeply embarrassing couple bear the title of our great county.

“It is time to take the title back from someone so clearly lacking any respect.”

Prince Harry ’s latest interviews are part of a publicity trail organised ahead of the release of his tell-all memoir, Spare, which is to be published on January 10.

In the CBS teaser video, presenter Anderson Cooper probes Harry about why he claimed he wanted to live a private life in California but is now being “so public”.

The Duke of Sussex replies: “Every time I have tried to do this privately, there have been briefings and leakings and planting of stories against me and my wife.”

Harry says Buckingham Palace “feeds” stories to the press.

Tim Loughton has previously said he is ashamed Harry and Meghan bear the 'Sussex' title (Jonathan Buckmaster)

And he adds: “When we’re being told for the last six years, ‘we can’t put a comment out to protect you’, but then you do it for other members of the family, there becomes a point when silence is betrayal.”

The interview is being aired at midnight GMT on Sunday, January 8, on CBS.

An interview with ITV ’s Tom Bradby, who Harry has known for more than 20 years, will be available to watch in the UK from 9pm on the same day.

The in-depth interview will cover a range of subjects including his personal relationships, never-before-heard details surrounding the death of his mother, Diana, and a look ahead at his future after quitting the Royal Family alongside Meghan .

In a teaser video, Harry says he wants his "father and brother back".

Royal sources rebutted the Duke’s claims his dad and brother showed “no willingness to reconcile” this week, as they said the King invited Harry and Meghan to stay with him.
