Conservative candidate Johnny Mercer took a vandalised campaign board in good humour while pushing for civility ahead of the General Election next week.
The former British Army officer, who has served as MP for Plymouth Moor View since 2015, filmed himself standing on a roundabout eight days out from the election.
"Yeah I've got something to show you, let me show you," the Ministry of Defence minister says, turning the camera away from his 38-year-old face towards a hedge.
Attached to the plant is a blue and white sign which has 'Vote for Plymouth/Vote for Johnny' written along the bottom, 'Johnny Mercer' written in big letters along the top and 'T**t" written in even bigger letter down the middle.
"There we go, now that's not very nice is it," he continues.

"Now I know advertising standards may come back and say actually there is no problem with this because Johnny Mercer is actually a t**t, I kind of think it is a bit sad.
"The kind of think you do when you're 11 or 12-years-old. There's an election. It's only eight days and then all these signs are coming down.
"Get the election done and then we can all get on for Christmas."

Mercer's head on tackling of the issue appears to have gone down well with his supporters, many of whom commented their support for him beneath the video.
"Keep strong Johnny, the more I see this sort of thing, the more my determination to #VoteConservative and send Labour and their thugs a message that this is a decent Country and we will not stand for this ever," one person wrote on Twitter .
Another person added: "Bless you. You have some awful people in your constituency, I feel dreadful for you.

"You're a very decent man and don't deserve to be judged by the gutter politics of some.
"Don't let them beat you. Be assured that you are far above them and their abuse cannot touch your standing."
Mercer is no stranger to controversial Twitter posts.
In October last year someone asked him on Twitter when Celebrity Hunted aired, and Mr Mercer replied asking if the man had insinuated that his wife "was a prostitute" in the Plymouth Herald comments section.
People on Twitter thought Mr Mercer's tweet was hilarious and it spawned hundreds of tongue-in-cheek jokes and memes.
