The Toronto Raptors came oh-so-close to winning their first-ever NBA title Monday night when they had Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors on the ropes late in Game 5.
Holding onto a six-point lead with three minutes to play after Kawhi Leonard went off on the Warriors, Nurse called a time out, which seemed to give the Warriors new life.
Because they regrouped and then went off on a 9-0 run that gave them the lead and eventually the win, which sends the Finals back to Oakland for a Game 6.
After the game he tried to explain why he took the time out, though he isn’t going to win over anybody with these thoughts on the decision:
