Topshop owner Sir Philip Green announces plans to close 23 stores

Sir Philip Green's Arcadia Group has announced plans to shut 23 stores, putting 520 jobs at risk, as part of a rescue plan.

Dorothy Perkins, Burton, Topshop and Topman stores have been earmarked for closure.

Scots stores affected by the closures are Dorothy Perkins and Burton in Aberdeen and Burton and Topman stores in Glasgow.

The company also plans to shut all its 11 Topshop and Topman stores in the US

The retail group's proposals will also see rent cut at another 194 outlets.
